Welcome to Friday’s Child Baby Gifts

I am a Friday’s Child. I was born on Good Friday and Friday is my absolute favourite day of the week. I used to wish every day was Friday until I realised that, unfortunately, you couldn’t have that ‘Friday feeling’ without having had experienced a Monday.

As the old rhyme goes…Friday’s Child is loving and giving…so, we thought it made a cute name for a baby gifting company.

This is me at 2 years 8 months old with my most treasured possessions – an umbrella and my hatbox. At the time, I bet even If you’d offered me all the ‘paper money’ in the world in exchange for these two items, I wouldn’t have traded you. It’s amazing how our sense of value changes as we grow up and understand the monetary value of things. Unfortunately, I’ve found that more often than not it ends up being at odds with the sentimental value of things.

The fond memories of this treasured hatbox were the inspiration behind the packaging for Friday’s Child Baby Gifts. We live in such a disposable world that I often find myself longing for the days when things were made to last and craftsmanship and quality were paramount . In a nod to nostalgia, I wanted the first experience of our baby gifts to be special and to evoke a memory of those good old days.
